TMWS supports the following environments for the on-premises gateway: VMware ESXi 6.5 and 6.7.

The TMWS on-premises gateway cannot be installed on nested VMware ESXi virtual machines, which run within other virtual machines.
Before you begin installing the gateway, make sure your device meets the minimum system requirements:
  • CPU: 2 cores, 2 threads
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Disk size: 150 GB (for installation)
The steps outlined below detail how to install the TMWS on-premises gateway on a Virtual Machine (VM) of an ESXi server with version 6.7.

Procedure

  1. Open the installation package and select to install the on-premises gateway.
  2. On the keyboard setting page, select a language as necessary, and then click Continue.
  3. On the disk setting page, select the disk to install the on-premises gateway on, and then click Continue.
  4. On the network setting page, configure the network for the on-premises gateway, and then click Continue.
  5. On the time setting page, select a region and city and then click Continue.
  6. Set and confirm the password for the administrator, and then click Continue. The user name is fixed to root.
  7. On the Summary page, verify all the settings, and then click Install.
