To add a Microsoft Identity Protection account to grant Cloud App Security access to Microsoft Identity Protection,
make sure you meet the following requirements:

You have granted Cloud App Security access to one or more Microsoft 365 services for your organization

Your organization has an Microsoft Entra ID Premium P1 or Premium P2 license
The steps outlined below detail how to grant access to Microsoft Identity Protection
from Administration.
Procedure
- In Cloud App Security, go to .
- Click Add, hover over your organization, and click Microsoft Identity Protection.
- Grant Cloud App Security the permission to access
Microsoft Identity Protection.
- Click Grant Permission at the end of step 1.
- On the Microsoft logon screen that appears, specify your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator
credentials and click Sign in.
Note
Make sure the Microsoft 365 Global Adminstrator is the same as or in the same Microsoft tenant as the one used in granting Cloud App Security access to Microsoft 365 services for the organization. - On the Exchange Online authorization screen that appears, click Accept to grant Cloud App Security the permission.
- Wait until the process is completed.If the message "Successfully created a service account and synced data." appears on the screen, the access grant is successful.
