Detaching the passive primary appliance disables high availability and allows the
appliance to be used as a standalone appliance. After a passive primary appliance
is detached, it no longer appears in the nodes list.
Detach the passive primary appliance to update or upgrade the product.

ImportantDetaching the passive primary appliance does not reset the appliance settings. Trend
Micro recommends reinstalling the appliance if you want to use it as a standalone
appliance.

Procedure
- On the management console of the active primary appliance, go to and click the Cluster tab.
- Click Detach to detach the passive primary appliance from the cluster.
