Apex One provides enhanced security for communication between the server and Security Agents using the following:
-
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256 encrypted communication to meet governmental compliance standards
Important:Apex One only supports AES-256 encryption on servers and Security Agents running Apex One and Plug-in Manager 2.2 or later versions.
-
Client Authentication Checksum (CAC) security to authenticate Security Agents
-
Before enabling the AES-256 encryption or Client Authentication Checksum (CAC) security , verify that all managed Security Agents reporting to the Apex One server are running supported versions (build version 12000 or later).
-
Enabling AES-256 encryption for older unsupported Security Agent versions may result in a complete loss of communication with the Apex One server when using a proxy server.
