After the Enforcement Agent is installed on a Windows computer, instruct end users to perform the following steps to log on to the Agent for authentication.

Procedure

  1. Configure the following on the supported operating systems:

    Windows Server 2016
    1. Start the Server Manager and click Local Server.
    2. In the PROPERTIES section, click to open IE Enhanced Security Configuration.
    3. On the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration screen that appears, disable the IE ESC for Administrators and Users, and click OK.
    Windows Server 2019
    Perform the same steps as for Windows Server 2016.
    Windows Server 2022
    Perform the same steps as for Windows Server 2016.

  2. Click the Agent icon in the system tray and then click Proxy Status.
    The Status screen appears, indicating that no user has logged in yet.
  3. Click the Log in button.
    A browser is launched and a user logon page appears.
  4. On the logon page, type the username and password, and then click Log on.
    A diagnostics page appears.
  5. Click the Agent icon in the system tray and then click Proxy Status again.
    The Status screen appears, showing the name of the user currently logged in.

What to do next

On the Status window, click Log out to allow the current user to log out of the Enforcement Agent and another user to log on.
Upon clicking Log out, a notification message appears, requiring you to clear cookies and cache in your browser. Close all browser windows, and then click OK.
After logout, perform the logon steps above to let another user to log on and use the Enforcement Agent.
