Configure how Cloud Security connects to your EC2 and AWS Fargate clusters: directly, through a custom proxy, or through a service gateway.

You can configure the connection method for one or more clusters in your AWS ECS instances at the same time.

You must enable Runtime Security for a cluster before you can configure its connection.

Procedure

  1. On the Inventory page, select Amazon ECS in the Clusters & Environments tree.
  2. In the Clusters table, select the checkbox for one or more clusters you want to configure.
  3. Click Configure connection.
    The Configure connection window appears.

    Saving overwrites the connection settings for all selected clusters, including those with different current settings.
  4. Connection method: Select a connection method:
    • Direct connection: Connect the cluster(s) to Container Security without a proxy. Your environment must have outbound internet access.
    • Custom proxy: Select if the cluster(s) cannot access the internet directly and require a proxy server.
      Configure the following settings:
      • Proxy type: Select HTTP or SOCKS5.
      • Proxy address: Specify the IP address of the proxy server.
      • Port: Specify the port number of the proxy server.
      • Require authentication credentials: Select and specify the Account and Password of the proxy server.
    • Service gateway: Connect the cluster(s) using the TrendAI Vision One™ proxy service.
      • Use selected service gateway(s): Select to choose specific service gateways, then select the gateways to use from the Service gateway(s) drop-down.
      • Use all available service gateway(s): Select to use all of your available service gateways.
  5. Click Save.
