Create and manage groups of endpoints to use as relay agents.

TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security Connection Policies supports assigning selected endpoints to relay groups. When assigned to a relay group, the TrendAI Vision One™ Endpoint Security agent becomes a relay agent that manages agent updates in your environment. Once configured, you can select a relay group as an update source in your Runtime connection policies.
Relay agents replace the Standard Endpoint Protection Update Agents and the Server & Workload Protection Relays while providing support for Endpoint Security centralized features including agents using Version Control Policies.
Agents assigned to a relay group must meet the following minimum system requirements:

Relays receive connections from agents on port 4126. Configure your firewall settings to allow your relays to receive inbound traffic on port 4126.

To start using relay groups as an update source, create a relay group and manage the endpoints you want to use as relays.

Procedure

  1. In the TrendAI Vision One™ console, go to Endpoint SecurityEndpoint Security ConfigurationConnection Policies and click the Relay management tab.
  2. Create or edit a relay group.
    • To create a new group, click Create relay group.
    • To edit a group, find the group you want to edit and click the name.
    The Relay group settings window appears.
  3. Specify a unique Relay group name.
  4. Specify a Description.
  5. Select the endpoints to assign to the relay group.
    1. Under Endpoint name, click the edit icon (edit_icon=GUID-1F1D1164-5310-4D6D-ACD0-6049C86960AF.png) to add endpoints.
    2. In the window that appears, select the endpoints you want to use as relays. You can select up to 1000 endpoints in one group.
    3. Click Save to save your selection.
  6. Click Save to save your group settings.
  7. If you want to remove a group, delete the group.

    • You cannot delete a relay group currently in use by a runtime connection policy. Go to Runtime connection policies and edit the update source to remove the relay group.
    • You cannot delete a relay group that contains endpoints that are not within your asset visibility scope. Contact your system administrator for assistance.
    1. Select one or more groups you want to delete.
    2. Click Delete.
    3. Confirm the selected groups and click Delete.
