Control how your agents behave if the configured update source is not available.

Update source settings is a global configuration that applies to all agents in your company. If a configured update source is unavailable for your agents, by default your agents use the agent connection settings configured in your runtime connection policies as a fallback. This behavior is only used for agent software updates, not for component updates.
You can choose to allow or prevent your agents from using this configuration to connect with TrendAI Vision One™.

Procedure

  1. In the TrendAI Vision One™ console, go to Endpoint Security → Endpoint Security Configuration → Connection Policies and click the Runtime connection policies tab.
  2. Click Update source settings.
  3. Select your Fallback agent update settings.
    • Use agent connection proxy settings: Your agents use the Agent connection proxy settings configured in the assigned policy to connect with TrendAI Vision One™ to download updates if the configured update source is unavailable.
    • Do not use fallback: Your agents do not attempt to use any other connection method if the configured update source is unavailable. Agents wait until a configured source is available to download updates.
  4. Click Save.
