Assign component update policies to your endpoints for more granular control over agent update schedules.
ImportantApplying agent software updates, whether automatically or manually, also updates
the components to the latest version available, regardless of the current
component update policy settings.

Procedure
- In the Trend Vision One console, go to .
- Select the endpoints you want to configure.
Tip
To make it easier to locate endpoints you want to configure, you can use the add filter icon () to search for your target endpoints, and use the Show/Hide Columns icon () to display the component update policy and status.If this is your first time configuring the component update policy, your endpoints are set to the default policy n (latest version). Add the filter component update policy and select n (latest version) to view all endpoints which support component update policy. - Click Component updates and select Set Update
Policy.The Component Update Settings window appears.
- Select the Component update policy you want to assign to
the target endpoints.SettingDescriptionn (latest version)The endpoints always update to the latest component versions availableThis policy does not use a snapshot and instead updates to the latest component versions. Use this setting if you want your endpoints to always update to the latest security component releases.n - 1 (one snapshot prior)The endpoints always update to the snapshot from the day before the current daten - 2 (two snapshots prior)The endpoints always update to the snapshot from two days before the current daten - 3, n - 4, …, n - 8The endpoints always update to the snapshot from the corresponding number of days before the current dateFor example, n - 5 updates to the snapshot from five days before the current date.
- Click Submit.
Note
Endpoints might take some time to synchronize with the newly applied component update policy.
