Configure your endpoint policies to ensure your deployed agents automatically apply the correct protection and detection features to provide security for your network and connect to Trend Vision One successfully. Trend Micro recommends configuring your proxy and default policies before deploying new agents.

Configure the connection settings for the agent package to use during initial download and installation
Go to Endpoint SecurityEndpoint Inventory, click the Global Settings icon (eiDefaultGlobalIcon=20230614094040.jpg). Go to Agent Installer Proxy and configure your proxy settings.

Runtime proxy policies
Configure the connection settings for the Trend Vision One Endpoint Security agent to use to communicate with Trend Vision One after deployment

Endpoint Protection Manager policies
Configure policies for Standard Endpoint Protection and Server & Workload Protection features
If you deploy your Trend Vision One Endpoint Security agent with an endpoint protection module enabled, use the Protection Managers to configure additional policy settings.
  • For Standard Endpoint Protection, access the Policy Management screen. Go to Endpoint SecurityStandard Endpoint ProtectionPoliciesPolicy Management and click the Create button. Configure a default policy using target filters and configure the policy settings.
  • For Server & Workload Protection, configure by creating a new policy and using the agent-initiated activation feature available in Server & Workload Protection.
    1. Set up your default policy by going to Endpoint SecurityServer & Workload ProtectionPoliciesNewNew policy.
    2. Set up agent-initiated activation by going to Endpoint SecurityServer & Workload ProtectionAdministration System Settings Agents.
