Learn how credits are calculated for Data Pipeline (Outbound), what data types require credits, and other FAQs about Third-Party Integrations data transfer.

Some Trend Vision One integrations allow you to transfer XDR activity data to integrated third-party platforms for data analysis or regulatory compliance and auditing purposes, including: These integrations are based on Data Pipeline (Outbound). The integrations themselves do not consume credits, but data transfer through the Data Pipeline does. Trend Vision One tracks the amount of data transferred to third-party platforms daily, and requires credits for Data Pipeline (Outbound) based on the volume of data transferred throughout the month. The credit requirement is 800 credits per terabyte (1 TB = 1024 GB).
Credit drawdown calculation:
  • If your data size is in gigabytes (GB), divide the size by 1024 to convert to terabytes, round up the result, then multiply by 800 credits. For example:
    Credit usage = Rounded-up value of (Data size in GB ÷ 1024) * 800
  • If your data size is already in terabytes (TB), simply multiply by 800 credits. For example:
Credit usage = Data size in TB * 800
For example, if your data transferred throughout a month is 3,000 GB, the credit usage for that month would be calculated as follows:
  1. Convert to TB: 3,000 GB ÷ 1024 = 2.93 TB
  2. Round up: 2.93 TB rounds up to 3 TB
  3. Calculate credits: 3 TB * 800 credits per TB = 2,400 credits
After calculating your monthly credit drawdown, Trend Vision One deducts the total monthly credit drawdown from your balance on the first day of the following month.
Note
Note
Daily data transfer of less than 0.01 GB is calculated as 0.01 GB.
For the monthly credit drawdown, decimals are rounded up to the nearest whole number.
To check your current credit usage for data transfer, go to Workflow and AutomationThird-Party Integrations, click Manage usage, then click Usage details on the Data Pipeline (Outbound) panel. Click Usage report to download the report.
Refer to the below sections for answers to more questions about data transfer in Trend Vision One.

What data types require credits for data transfer?

Only activity data requires credits. Detection logs, Observed Attack Techniques events, and Workbench alerts do not require credits for transfer.

How is data volume measured for outbound data transfer in Third-Party Integrations?

Data transfer volume in Third-Party Integrations is based on the volume of data stored in Trend Vision One, unlike Agentic SIEM, which uses the raw volume of data collected to measure data ingestion and retention.

Do I need to use additional credits to send data to multiple third-party products?

If you need to transfer the same data to multiple destinations, even in the same product, each destination requires credits. For example, transferring data to three different AWS S3 buckets uses three times the credits. If you need to reduce your credit usage, consider transferring the data to one destination in the product and then distributing the data within that product's environment.

Are credits required for data usage of less than 1 TB?

Yes. Credit usage is calculated proportionally based on the actual amount of data transferred during the month, not in fixed 1 TB increments.

Can I transfer historical data?

Only data that has been generated after you have configured the relevant third-party integration is streamed and transferred.

How do I transfer data to a SIEM or other product that doesn’t have an existing integration in Third-Party Integrations?

If you need to transfer data to a product that doesn’t have an existing integration, consider using the APIs in the API Automation Center to facilitate data transfer. The credit requirements for using the API to pull data are the same as other data transfer-related integrations in Third-Party Integrations.
