You have two options for subscribing to File Security:
  • Credits: You use credits either per scans billing, or per bucket or scanner billing.
  • Pay-as-you-go: You subscribe to Trend Vision One File Security and only pay for what you deploy and use. Pay-as-you-go billing depends on your usage of the File Security services, reported on an hourly basis. You sign up for pay-as-you-go billing on the AWS Marketplace.
How credit usage is calculated:
Snapshot-based calculation: This calculation is used if you are using per bucket or scanner billing. File Security captures daily snapshots of how many units that you are using. Your credit drawdown for the month corresponds to the snapshot with the highest usage, after excluding the highest 15% of outlier snapshots. As a result, your estimated credit drawdown for snapshot-based solutions might changes through the month,
Volume-based calculation: This calculation is used for per scan billing. File Security calculates credit usage based on your cumulative usage throughout the month. Your final credit drawdown for the month is the sum of each day's usage that month. As a result, your estimated credit drawdown for volume-based solutions updates everyday of the month as usage accumulates.

  • You can configure File Security SDK and File Security Storage separately using credits or pay-as-you-go.
  • The number of scans made updates every hour.
  • If you are using pay-as-you-go for buckets, you are charged each hour that the bucket is protected, even if no scans occur.

The hourly bucket rate is the same as 89 scans. If you are scanning fewer than 89 files, the File Security Storage (scans) pay-as-you-go rate is cheaper.

To see the latest estimated credit drawdown for individual solutions, go to Platform Usage and Credits → Usage management → Usage details and find the specific package in the table.
