Integrate your GitHub organization with TrendAI Vision One™ to help you understand misconfiguration and compliance violation information and to view code repository scan findings.

Before you begin

Prerequisites:
  • Access to GitHub as an Organization Owner. If you are not the GitHub organization owner, you must send a request to an owner to install this app.

    This app can be installed on your individual account if you do not have an organization account.
  • Minimum required permissions for TrendAI Vision One™ to connect to your GitHub organization and code repositories. The app indicates required permissions before installation.

Procedure

  1. From the TrendAI Vision One™ console, navigate to Third-Party Integrations → GitHub.
  2. Click Add integration to open the Add GitHub Integration drawer.
  3. Under deployment scope, select the solution or capability that you want to associate with this integration.

  4. Click Install from GitHub Marketplace to open the GitHub Marketplace page.

    If the TrendAI Vision One™ GitHub app is already installed, copy the installation ID to complete GitHub integration.
    To copy the installation ID:
    1. From GitHub, navigate to Settings → Applications.
    2. Select Configure for TrendAI Vision One™ Code Security.
      GitHub lists TrendAI Vision One™ Code Security regardless of the deployment scope selected.
    3. Copy the ID from the URL that appears. For example, 1234567 from https://github.com/settings/installations/1234567.
  5. Select the repositories you want to grant access to, and then click Install.
    To grant access to every repository, select All repositories. To grant access to specific repositories, select Only select repositories, and then search for and select each repository.
    TrendAI Vision One™ scans or analyzes only the repositories that you grant access to.
    After installation, the installation ID automatically appears in the Add GitHub Integration drawer.
  6. Complete any additional sign-in or region-selection prompts to onboard the integration to the correct TrendAI Vision One™ region.
  7. Click Save in the Add GitHub Integration drawer to complete the integration.
After the GitHub integration is complete and saved, a Connected status appears next to the app in the Third-Party Integrations list. You can now view findings and scan results for the solution you selected.
