Use the IPXfer tool to move agents to Trend Vision One Standard Endpoint Protection.
Follow the instructions below to migrate endpoints from your Apex One server to
Standard Endpoint Protection with the IPXfer tool.
ImportantThe IPXfer tool can only move one agent at a time and you must have administrator
access to the endpoint device where the agent is installed.
To move more than one agent at a time, see Migrating Agents with the Apex One Server

Procedure
- Export Apex One Security Agent policies to Standard Endpoint Protection.
- In the Apex One Server host machine, locate the Policy Export Tool
package in the installation folder.The tool is located at
<installation folder>\PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\PolicyExportTool
. - Extract the Policy Export Tool package.
- Open Command Prompt or PowerShell as an administrator from the folder of the extracted package.
- Type the following command to run the tool.run ApexOneSettingsExportTool.exeThe tool generates two archive files:

- In the Trend Vision One console, go to .If you have more than one Standard Endpoint Protection instance, select the instance you want to migrate your endpoints to.
- In the target instance, go to
- For Product, select Apex One Security Agent.
- Click Import Settings and locate the
ApexOne_Agent_Policies.zip
policy file. - Click OK to continue.
- Change the Product to Apex One Data Loss Prevention.
- Click Import Settings and locate the
ApexOne_Agent_DLP_Policies.zip
policy file. - Click OK to continue.
Policies imported from the policy files are created and displayed on the policy list. The policies by default have no targets. The targets must be set by an administrator. - In the Apex One Server host machine, locate the Policy Export Tool
package in the installation folder.
- In the Trend Vision One console, go to .If you have more than one Standard Endpoint Protection instance, select the instance you want to migrate your endpoints to.
- In the target instance, go to
- Copy the first six characters of the server FQDN
before
manage.trendmicro.com
.For example, if the target server address ishttps://exampl.manage.trendmicro.com:443/officescan
, then copy exampl. - Open a new tab in your browser and use the
following links to download the necessary files.Replace <FQDN> with the six characters copied in the previous step.URLDescription

IpXfer tool for 64-bit devices - Transfer the files to the target endpoints you
want to move to Trend Vision One Endpoint Security.

Make sure the IPXfer tool and certificate files are in the same folder. - On the target endpoint, run Command Prompt with administrator permission in the folder where the IPXfer tool is located.
- Type the following command and press ENTER.<TOOL> -s <FQDN>.manage.trendmicro.com -p 80 -sp 443 -e ofcntcer.dat -pwd <unload password>

is the IPXfer version,ipxfer.exe
for 32-bit devices,ipxfer_x64.exe
for 64-bit devices. -
<FQDN>
is the six characters from the target server address. -
<unload password>
is the unload password of the Apex One agent on the endpoint.
Once the selected agents complete moving, the agents begin reporting to the Trend Vision One Standard Endpoint Protection instance.Important
Policies are not automatically applied to the moved agents. You must apply the policies to the target agents once migration has finished. -
