Collect third-party logs with Companion

Learn how to collect logs from third-party data sources with Companion.

You must have at least one Service Gateway deployed in your environment with Third-Party Log Collection service installed. For more information, see Configure a Service Gateway to collect third-party logs.
For a full list of third-party vendors and products supported by the Third-Party Log Collection service, see Third-Party Log Collection supported vendors and products.

Go to Agentic SIEM and XDR → Data Source and Log Management → Data sources and retention → Third-party log repositories and click Connect data source, or click to open a new Companion session and enter a prompt such as Help me create and configure a collector for sending third-party logs to TrendAI Vision One.
In the Companion session window, enter the vendor and product name of your third-party log source.
Provide third-party log source details such as log collection purpose, timezone, and data source IP addresses when prompted.

Note

You can modify any settings by describing the desired change to Companion.
Review the settings that Companion recommends.
Click Confirm to create a log collector.
Follow the setup steps that Companion provides to configure your third-party data source to send logs to TrendAI Vision One™.
