When upgrading a previous version of Control Manager directly to Trend Micro Apex Central, administrators can choose to back up the previous Control Manager installation or back up the entire operating system of the server on which Control Manager installs. Backing up the operating system is more labor intensive but provides better security to prevent data loss.
